As some people may be interested to see the C-123 as it undergoes restoration with help from the donations to Bernie's memorial fund, Val has just returned from Titusville, Florida's Spacecoast Executive Airport and her report follows:
"The following pictures were taken during my stay with Paul Vasconi in Sunny Florida. My thanks to Paul and his Mom for their warm hospitality.
"The restoration of the C-123 is steadily progressing, helped by the donations received from Bernie's Memorial Fund. The ?1500 plus that was raised has gone towards the refurbishment of the propellers. One is already finished and the other is awaiting to be re-assembled prior to them both being returned home, hopefully in time for Christmas!
"A facility in Texas is currently repairing the control surfaces, hence the rather depleted state of the aeroplane! Further details of its history and restoration are available on the Air America Foundation's website: www.airamfoundation.org
"Paul is extremely grateful for all the donations and I am sure he would be pleased to show you over the C-123 if you are in the Tico area. He can usually be found most Saturdays busy working on the restoration of the aircraft or repairing/painting the various bits of necessary maintenance equipment (tow trucks, buggies etc. A.K.A. "The Boys' Toys"!)"
Following the development of the website, placing of update files in to our secure folder and restricting access to our members, it is obvious this has caused some problems to those sensibly running firewall software on their PCs.
The firewall program can interfere with the security that enables these files to be downloaded and throws up the errors.

QuantumLite is a cut down version of the highly successful QuantumPlus Aviation database, and is designed to complement the existing QuantumPlus product.
The QuantumLite database offers 100% of the functionality of the QuantumPlus product, but has a smaller amount of records. It is designed to cater for those enthusiasts who want the flexibility and functionality that the QuantumPlus product offers, but who do not want the large coverage that is supplied with that product.
QuantumLite contains records on just over 173,126 aircraft (520 types) - at Jun 2019, as opposed to the nearly 1,866,966 aircraft (10287 types) currently offered by QuantumPlus. The areas covered by QuantumLite are Airliners, Biz-Jets, Biz-Props, Military Transports/Tankers, and Maritime aircraft.
The QuantumLite database benefits from using the same underlying system as QuantumPlus, and is supported by the same team of 15 editors and support personnel as it's larger brother.
Aerodata QuantumLite is available now at £75 (£70 for Air Britain and other aviation society's members - please contact Paul for further details), and these are also the prices for subsequent renewals. Also please note we do not offer monthly payment facilities on QuantumLite.
The QuantumPlus database remains available at £150 (or £50 plus 12 monthly payments of £8.75) for the first year, and then £100 per year (£8.75 per month). Again, Air Britain and other aviation society members would benefit from a £15 reduction on their first year's subscription.
